Going from nought to a hundred, the American Matt Jones has won my Facebook competition! But what material did he win with? How did he win? Read on… We’ve all heard of people coming out as gay to their families and fearing rejection, but nervously coming out as ‘white trash’ who play with toasters in the bath and who like eating fibreglass? I’ve never heard of that in a sketch. That may be because it’s usually obvious if someone is ‘white trash’, and such ‘rubbish’ tend to have white trash parents who are totally fine with having similar children, but the idea is not so ridiculous the skit is dumb; far from it. I’m not 100% sure what white trash is, but I do get a fair idea from the video and the phrase itself. It would be extremely ironic if such people are posh and sophisticated, and Americans don’t get irony. :P Only joking, that’s just a stereotype they have which they may be unaware of. I’m sure it’s unfounded. On a deeper level, you could compare some of Jones’s cast to the character Ali G who is middle class, but acts like a ‘chav’ as we say in England.
I don’t mean to sound snooty and mock white trash (that’s Matt’s job. Whoops, joking again), if people want to get very bad tattoos by untrained artists (that’s based on real research which is something maybe Jones could use more of, as you’ll find out :P), that’s their business. It doesn’t sound like a great decision to me, but then again maybe it’s not so bad. I kind of like the punk aesthetic and wish it would make a comeback. So that’s nice of me isn’t it? You could say I was being diplomatic and even admirable. The stats shown in the video are pretty good, too. (That was me being thoughtful). Apparently 3 out of 5 ‘WT’ don’t go bowling in any given week, which is something you can point out at dinner parties to impress your friends. This video has it all. Ok, that was made up wasn’t it, but it still works though. There was also some well chosen music. It was quite sentimental, which was unexpected but fitting, giving the video a surprising amount of profoundness. Excellent stuff. Going back to the stats but coming from me, Matt Jones has produced my 4th favourite winning video of all time, with an impressive score of 4.55 out of 5. :O Check his stuff out, below!

Going off road again like I do in these contest blogs, I saw on Youtube some guy commenting on a vegan beef jerky made of some kind of meat substitute. The reviewer said it actually tasted nicer than real beef jerky, but as far as I’m concerned, that’s not the point. To me, it’s like the Earth being a 3D simulation. If it is just a game, why bother with it, as it’s fake and therefore meaningless? Do you see what I’m getting at, here? It doesn’t really matter how good vegan ‘meat’ tastes as it’s a lie. Therefore it must never take the place of true food. On the topic of vegans once more, what do they eat when not eating fibs? Vegetables? Have you ever eaten a vegetable? At very best they’re boring, at very worse they suck people’s will to live. I can see how the animal friends wouldn’t care about living in VR as I’ve concluded they’re dead inside. Vegan zombies. On the plus side they’ll never infect you as they couldn’t bite you, so I guess there is that, but it still sucks for them. And on that controversial note (or two), bye!
