Car, Email and Mug Update (Blog 524)

Great news! In the MOT centre on Thursday I was TOLD something was seriously wrong with my engine when coolant or whatever it was, was all over the place, actually rather than my engine exploding or whatever I was told, the coolant or whatever it was just overflowed. That’s it. Nothing to worry about at all, I just need to be careful when putting the stuff in. It really took him over three or four hours for him to find that out and to phone me up about that? I was kinda thinking to myself… ‘this person’s an idiot…’ I was very relieved though. When I was in the centre I was also told that smoke filled the room when they started my car which was worrying, on the call later, I was told that was fine as well. You know what I think the alarm was about? A misunderstanding that ALL cars actually produce smoke to fill rooms if left running long enough. Against all reason my suspension passed the MOT as well, which is strange as I rammed my car into a small structure on the road a few months ago. I was actually told my car was in very good condition! My headlights needed a thorough clean/sanding down and that was it!

You know when I said I wouldn’t be sorting emails for Metal-Rules.com, anymore? For whatever reason I’m doing it again! I think the most emails I put into the ‘album review section’ in the last few days was three in a row. Not great, not bad either. What hasn’t come back to me however is my broken Metallica mug, which is very sad. How will people know I like the band now when they see me drinking water? I’ll have to tell them. I do have Metallica shirts and jumpers, but the thing is I don’t wear them all the time. Again, I’ll have to do some explaining without my mug. I hate to sound overly sentimental, but RIP mug. :( On a more positive note, this seems ridiculous to me, but Google says my next Mac update should be ready for downloading in late Summer or early Autumn. That’s ages away, it sounds too good to be true! The downside being I worry my computer won’t be receiving updates anymore because it’s too old and I’ll need a new one. I could probably just buy one, but there is a vague fear there that I can’t put my finger on.

Excellent car news, reasonably good email news and bad mug news? That really does sum up the last few days. Ah yes, I said I was going go karting for my birthday, due to logistical problems I’m probably just going to go out for a meal with my family, instead. That way my brother and sister in law won’t need to hire a babysitter to look after their children as we go out, instead they can bring them along! I could have booked a go karting session at night on the 5th of July for just me and my brother, that way my sis in law could have stayed at home and looked after the mini people, but I was too late to book it and call this sour grapes, but it would arguably be less of a party than a meal for everyone and few people seem to feel about night the way I do. Nighttime just makes things better, and I’m still hoping a Thorpe Park halloween day will be experienced by me just the one time in the wonderful darkness. Wowee, right? Speed, fairy lights and a sense of wonder it simply HAS to happen. Having said that, the karting wouldn’t really be at night as Summer has longer days. Of course it does. A bit of a short blog from me today, but yep, nothing much to say. I guess I could elaborate on how stupid the mechanics were, it would certainly make me feel better, but I’ll leave it. Bye!
