Yesterday, I slept with the window slightly open in warm weather. Big deal, right? Nope, it made me ill for a good two hours and gave me some very painful indigestion. :( However, there were two positives. First, after doing the right thing and closing my window, I appreciated the warmth of my bedroom. I never liked the heat too much, but I did like it after the shutting, as the warmth makes you recover faster. Ah, comforting. Don’t go too far though, 40 degrees celsius is Death Valley temperature. Ever heard of someone healing in a place called ‘Death’?? Second, I seemed to have had a total enema, ending my pains, and the relief? First rate. Perhaps more darkly however, I’ve been having a message when I try to visit Instagram lately, saying I can’t use the site anymore for a so called little while (which is wrong), as I open it too much and ‘more than usual’. Twice a day, the same as always? No idea what’s going on there and that’s what’s getting to me. You know when I said that my computer background randomly changes yellow? It’s a small change, but now it turns to trees and completely black a couple of hours later and again, that’s getting to me. I need an explanation!! As I’m a little tired of the calming, swimming fish background, I changed it to an also calming night time view of a city and the problem has now gone. However… as I don’t know WHY, that’s getting to me, too.

Just a few minutes after my illness recovery, I drove to get my hair cut. Pretty standard stuff really, but at one point I was thinking to myself ‘… What’s the barber doing with a laser weapon?’ Actually, it was a hairdryer. No surprise there, but wondering what he was doing with a TOY laser weapon is a much more valid question. Maybe it could be used for threats, maybe it could be used for recreation. Anyway, it wasn’t a toy either, as explained. As per usual some of my own hair landed on my cheek and caused me some serious itching. I couldn’t scratch it, otherwise my body language would be saying ‘kiss it >:(‘ which would be inappropriate, obviously, and making things worse, no that was the genuine reason why I didn’t scratch my face. I also had an itch just above my top lip which I also couldn’t scratch, without causing some kind of offence, anyway. I tried to lick the itch which did make me feel a little better, but I ended up getting my hair stuck in between my teeth, which was even more annoying. So now I’m typing in the heat and with hair in my mouth. I’m not having a BRILLIANT time, but I will be getting a pizza later on!

It’s now Sunday and annoyingly, I overslept by about an hour. The thing is, I went to bed about an hour later than usual on Saturday, and I need about 10 hours sleep on average. It could be a day later or even a week or more, but things WILL average out eventually. Always have done, always will. And talk about a rough sleep without my window open! I’m wondering what’s worse, spending half the night awake, or being ill for a couple of hours. You know what? I think I preferred being ill. But I’m not going to sleep with the window open, or I’ll get a low white blood cell count, it will be blamed on my medication and I’ll have to stop taking it! Many people see sweating as a negative thing (apart from those living in Death Valley, for them it’s vital), but I certainly didn’t have a problem with dry skin on my arm when in bed! After three weeks of treatment, the dryness has very nearly gone away and part of me is glad it’s taken that long. If it went away immediately, I would feel like nothing special has happened, and also my excessively large pot of cream that I paid £5 for would seem like even more of a waste. Frugal Simon. I also drooled much less when snoozing! Also on the plus side, Instagram is working! Now I can visit it twice a day, again, if that’s not too much of a problem, I mean. And that’s it from me, bye!
