Triple Hardcore Mental Blood Test (Blog 502)

This morning I had my yearly triple hardcore mental blood test at the doctor’s. For whatever reason, the instant finger pricking blood sugar level device isn’t available in the place I get my monthly clozapine blood tests done, but the place I went to today is different. Well it was last year, actually I couldn’t get an immediate glucose test today for whatever reason, I’ll have to wait for today’s results. There goes my peace of mind as I’m typing this blog now. At least I was pushing it to the max at the gym yesterday, that surely helped with my overall health. But as always, I just like eating sugar, it tastes too good. After getting my blood sugar request denied, I was asked to weigh myself, so I took off my shoes and jumper, to make myself seem lighter and more healthy. Which is fair enough, as such items DO make me heavier than I am, everyone accepts that. I would only be dishonest if I requested a massive enema to make myself as light as possible, and you can argue if that’s really dishonest, as well. Desperate maybe.

Annoyingly, it took a while to put my shoes back on as the laces were knotted. The nurse joked that the stress of the situation could increase my blood pressure when it would be taken in a few seconds. If it did do that, I was actually glad as the nurse said my BP was EXACTLY the same as last year! How about that?? Not just one of the numbers, but both! Then I got three tubes of blood taken from me. I’m sure all are outstanding, if slightly more sugary than normal. A lesser nurse would steal them for herself but I trust her. It was then explained I may have a talk with the doctor when the results are back, even if I’m completely fine. Sounds like a waste of time to me. I mean, I’d appreciate the compliment if a doctor said how healthy I was, but why not say over the phone? Maybe the doc wants to shake my hand, just so he REALLY shows how impressed he is. I guess that makes the world a slightly nicer place.

Lastly I had my height measured. I’m still 5 foot 6. Remember when I said I grew a centimetre or so recently? I guess not. Unless of course I DID grow, it’s just the height measurer wasn’t accurate enough to say I was 5 foot and 6 and a half inches. If I am that height now, I THINK that makes me exactly as tall as Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, which I think is cool. How do I know how tall he is? Sounds a bit creepy? Well a few months ago, I watched a Youtube video of heights of various celebrities and that’s where I got the fact from. Let’s check if I remembered correctly, now… Yes, I was right! I remember lots of apparently pointless facts, like that. For example I know the German word ‘spiel’ means ‘play’ and diabetes is either Greek or Latin meaning ‘To pass through’. Because you keep peeing all the time! Sounds super impressive if someone asks me about diabetes or spiel, but actually my fact knowledge is about average, shown when I watch TV quiz shows and take part in them alone in my bedroom. And there’s nothing wrong with being average. Average fact knowledge and ALMOST average height! :)

Now what to say? Oh yes, on the way back home I got myself some food and of course some excellent chocolates. I hope my sugar levels are fine as it would kill me if I can’t have such foods again. I also got myself a huge box of grapes. I know what I should have talked to the nurse about. It’s surely all in my head, but I seem to get just a tiny bit of back pain after eating too many of the fruits. It doesn’t happen with any other food and drink, does that sound random to you? I mean… grapes are supposed to be a healthy food… They could CURE back pain, maybe. Well, I’ve almost got through a good half a kilogram of grapes now and I think I’m more or less completely fine so I don’t think I should worry. I don’t particularly LIKE eating so many grapes, but whilst they are fairly poor for my mental health, I’m sure they’re good for my physical health. If not? Well, what a rubbish situation. And that’s it, bye!
