Yipp-Easter! (Blog 434)

Yesterday, my brother and two of his mini children visited me and my dad to celebrate Easter! I could have posted about the event yesterday, but of course, I was busy tricking you all. It could have been a better thought out trick, but the stories of me kidnapping people? I thought people would believe them. To start things off, my dad showed everyone his ‘upgraded’ shed, but I didn’t notice any real difference. A few years ago he paid for a new door and the door was worse, there was nothing wrong with the old door whatsoever. You wouldn’t pay someone good money to enter your home, do a huge job and for no reason, right? Well my dad did, now for the second time. As is usual for me, I think I pointed out that door anecdote before, but it stuck with me. My dad seemed so sure of himself.

Soon after that, the children played with my dog in the garden by throwing it tennis balls, but it keeps ignoring me when I do that same! I like to think my dogs respect me too much to get the balls as they believe I know exactly what I’m doing and that I throw balls away for a reason. I’m a mature adult don’t need dogs to help me. That’s probably a lie, though. When everyone was indoors, the grown ups, including me, had to keep the dogs away from the chocs. Poor dogs! The dog equivalent of Easter is a whole day where they would just eat treats. Imagine being left out of that! Very painful!

I thought the M&S Percy Pig chocolate egg sounded like a terrible idea, having tried it I changed my mind and thought it was pretty good. It’s just that Percy Pigs are like Haribo and yeah, Haribo chocolate? Sounds weird. But apparently not! At first I was thinking ‘this isn’t too much of a crazed chocolate wigout binge’, I’d only eaten an egg and a bar of chocolate, boy did that change. I guess people including me are irrational. If someone like me wants to stuff his face with foods that have no nutritional value and are actually very unhealthy, that would be bad? Nope, it’s genuinely encouraged. Not every day sure, but quite a lot. Now stop looking at me and take a long hard look at yourselves. :(

I also have an enthusiasm for music that is arguably mentally unhealthy, shown yesterday when my brother asked me about the Gutalax band I’ve been obsessing over for a while now. I showed my brother AND dad the video of the crime fighter made of poo, and who poos on criminals. Sounds disgusting, but on this special day, we could all pretend it’s chocolate. Nothing could be done about the demented music, though. My brother had his own video to show of a motocross rider ramming into people, apparently everyone hates him.

A little later on, my niece insisted on playing outside again, even though it was raining. Yes, the rain is great! Couldn’t agree more with her. However, she wasn’t allowed to as my brother has different views on the weather. If she is REALLY like me, she’ll be sleeping with the windows open in Winter in no time! That’s probably not the sort of behaviour to encourage, so I won’t, but if for whatever reason she left her window open just the once by mistake and enjoyed it, then we’d be the same. That’s all I’m saying.

Because I feel very strongly about the subject, I brought up the topic of Papa John’s and how they will be closing 10% of their stores. My brother was familiar with the story and said the local one wouldn’t be closing. Believe me, I know all about that, I checked three times at least. After that positive tale, I got the chocolates ‘I’ bought for everyone out of the fridge and into the living room. My brother said he felt bad for not getting everyone chocolates, so he left the shared chocs for me and dad. Perfect! Soon after that a TRUE binge was being enjoyed. Mainly by me BUT not completely! :) Then everyone went home. As my brother left relatively early on in the day, I could go to the gym. I like the gym very much and that only meant I could eat more chocolate later on!

During the gym session I found that I was completely powning everything and was in very little pain. Pretty much none! It really did stand out as one of the best if not THE best seshes I ever had, which took me surprise as Saturday’s gym experience kinda sucked, really. Maybe it was because of all the Easter egg?? I hope not as such a diet is not so good, long term. At least I don’t think it is… :S Will future workouts be as positive? I very much doubt it. However, as disappointing as that sounds, the harder time I have, the greater the buzz I get afterwards, so it certainly won’t be all bad. Super duper stuff. Having said that inspiring stuff, there may be an issue with boredom over the next coming days, but it’s nothing I can’t handle. So yeah, a pretty good day, bye!
