Another standup contest has taken place, where some of the contestants go around killing people! What is going on in the world of comedy? In my head I’m imagining professional criminals saying to people ‘You wanna get away with a crime, huh? Say you kill people in a comedy routine. No one will believe you’. I’ve watched Breaking Bad, I know how crooks think. Yes, you may remember I had a similar theory a while ago, but now I’ve developed it. (Slightly). So no self-plagiarism. I’ll try to write more in my blog this time, to make up for things. Anyway, fortunately winner Yvonne Collier was one of the comics who isn’t murderous. Phew! I don’t have to look like I’m on the side of maniacs. (Again. Yes, I did one time).
What did Yvonne talk about, then? For one thing she said she looked for her car when she didn’t even have one. Crazy, but in a more benign way. Certainly not mental institution worthy. I would imagine if someone tried to get Yvonne sectioned for that reason alone, it would really be because the complainer was a very angry and unsuccessful car/petrol/or possibly even novelty air-freshener salesman, not because Yvonne is extremely dangerous. Then again, trying to get people sectioned because of lack of sales would be very bad for business… No normal businessman wants their clients to be afraid of them, when you can just go a few miles down the road to a more rational company. Unless you’re in the world of Breaking Bad. But I wouldn’t exactly describe the characters in it as ’normal’. Hopefully, you don’t, either.
Oh no. Maybe Yvonne IS crazy… She said she has a number of personalities. That’s not good. Still though, she’s not delusional. Always look on the bright side, right? Can you get sectioned if you have multiple personalities? I guess only if you’re a threat to someone or yourself. I don’t know Yvonne in person, but judging by her routine, it seems it would be out of character for her to run someone over and not remember. (Or ‘not remember’). She does describe herself as ‘a sexy rule breaker’, but again I’m assuming in a harmless cheeky way. Not a criminal way. Certainly not in a homicidal way. Have you ever heard of a killer describing themselves as a sexy rule breaker? Me neither.
Oh. Having watched a bit more of the performance, I’ve found she’s said she hangs out with squirrels and claims her husband knows what she wants before she does. THAT’S delusional. Still though, as she seem to be a high-functioning individual, I’m sure all she needs is a simple good talking to. As in ‘do you REALLY think it’s appropriate, hanging around with squirrels?’ ‘I guess not’. Cured! Simple as that.
Anywho, check out her performance, here…
Now how am I going to go off-road again and totally change the subject? Hmmm… Ok, here goes: Isn’t a shame the way copyright laws are getting in the way of creativity? What I mean is there is a Korn song called ‘Beg for me’ which has the lyrics ‘be there for me’. I want to create a short Youtube video where I write the words ‘bee there, for me’ over pictures of someone seeing a bee and then taking it as some kind of pet. Wouldn’t that be funny? Sadly, the police are stopping me. :( Ok, did I make this blog a little longer than usual? Maybe a little… Swish!
