This month I shared two videos on my Facebook Unsubscribe Tribe page, not one, making it an actual competition! However, not really as the videos came from the same group; previous winners, Hidden Histories. -_- (Previously thought by me to be called ‘Shawn Parke’. The confusion is a long story. Well not really, just not particularly interesting. Ok, you want the explantation? Mr. Park is a member of HH. Wow. Told you. No offence Shawn, but you simply don’t make an interesting fact. :( Funny video though, please don’t think I’m an asshole because I’m not. Long time readers will know that). You could say HH were competing with themselves though, this time. Yeah, why not? Let’s say this IS a competition. Screw it. Moving on, I promise next month, there will be more than one entrant. (In fact there will be two!) If you’re thinking my passion for my Facebook event is waning, you’d be right. Only a handful of people seem to be interested in it, (either that or they just see my posts and skip them) so I think my time could be better spent. (Spent on jokes about bees, for example. I already have a few). BUT I have no plans of stopping my contests as they do give me blog material. Yes, strange, sometimes even bizarre material, but that’s fine.

Anyway, about the video! It’s a spoof short film about the history of Disneyland. (Of course it’s a spoof or it wouldn’t be a comedy, it would be a documentary. I’m clearly a weird person to run a lighthearted contest, if things were more serious, I’d be completely screwed. Then again, I suppose it wouldn’t be too surprising even if I shared something more sensible, when you take note of my ‘carefree’ recent history). Anyway again, even though the entry was 16 minutes and 32 seconds long, it kept my attention. That’s far from easy to do. Often I just pretend I concentrate hard on a work so extensive and change the subject ‘as a joke’. Highlights include the excellent picture of Mickey the Rat Rooney at 4 minutes and 24 seconds; and an expert funny voice saying ‘Visualise it… a teacup where you are the tea’. Without the comical voice the sentence could seem a little random. But with it? Comedy genius. The quote ’When you’re curious you finds lots of interesting things to do’ doesn’t seem particularly amusing, it sounds insightful. But again, with the voice - genius.

Because I wasn’t REALLY paying attention all the way through, let’s change the subject. (No only joking, I was really. But I’m changing things anyway. Because I can. After being sacked from my first and only job a few years ago, boy am I loving the power. No, I really am. I even got sacked from voluntary work which was disturbing at the time). Hmmm. What to say? I know. Why is the former prime minister of Sao Tome & Principe interested in the music website I’m voluntarily working for, theindependentvoice.org? I got an email saying he wants to start up a project with the site. It’s just ridiculous. Using my initiative I put that email into the spam folder. Then again, maybe he’s a massive extreme metal fan. As far as I’m aware, the genre isn’t TOO popular in Africa, so maybe it would actually be wise for him to work with IV. If he could cause a music explosion I guess it would be great for the economy. Still, it’s staying in my spam folder. Just in case. I don’t want my boss thinking I’m MENTAL. Also, would you believe there was a message called ‘Spam’ in the spam folder? Hm. Bye!
