More Lockdown Silliness… (Blog 194)

It’s time for some randomness as once again, no events have really happened. For anyone. Here we go, part one: A short while ago, I forget to take my brain medicine. On that night, I had a bit of trouble sleeping because my dreams were so demented - a particularly obvious warning sign I should never have overlooked - but I shrugged that off, assuming I was just having a bad day. I do consume a reasonable amount of cheese on pizza, so maybe that had something to do with it. Then again, why did cheese choose to infiltrate my mind when it never really did before? Hm. During the day, I felt very faint (not surprising as I went completely cold turkey) and had a slow heart rate. But that made me anxious, raising my pulse back to normal. Phew.

Much more recently, I forgot that I took my medication, so I gave myself a double dose. (Yep, I’ve really not been with it, of late :S). Fortunately the effects of that weren’t as dramatic as before. My fingers were just a bit itchy for a couple of hours or so. I wasn’t feeling any more sane than usual, suggesting my current mental state is already 100% perfect. A worrying thought for many, I’m sure. Unfortunately, I didn’t make any profound observations, such as a new E=MC2 the way I was hoping to, but I wasn’t ill and that’s the most important thing. And remember - E=MC2 led to the atomic bomb, so you don’t want me making too many scientific discoveries, anyway. I’m not saying I do, that’s obvious when you read my writing style, so I guess just be wary of others who put various letters and numbers together.

Because of lockdown, I obviously haven’t been going to the gym. Not to worry, there is a very simple replacement - cycling! However, it comes with a cost. Due to hardcore heavy metal abuse, I damaged my hearing a few years ago, now. Cycling has made my condition worse. ‘But how??’ Ah, the wind rushing past me is surprisingly noisy, even with ear plugs. However, with pure genius, I ordered a hooded shirt off Amazon, that I can wear in hot weather that also protects my ears, quite a bit more. So maybe my extra meds DID improve my thinking. Who knows what else I could do with the extra support? HGM54=7MM. There you go. Genius.

The plus side of waiting for my ears to recover, (they have before, anyway) is that I’ve been working in silence recently, rather than with music on in the background, perhaps increasing my brain power. Only it didn’t really improve my brain power, as my latest One Screwy Day story was arguably one of my weakest. It’s just Epic Dave calling people ‘muppets’ again. Still though, the use of jet fighters and missiles was first rate. Excellent action. Hang on, I guess my medication didn’t help. Damn. Or did it? Kind of hard to make sense of everything really, isn’t it?

Moving on… As I have been and will be continuing to work on my 200th blog ultra blog, and a ten minute sitcom episode for someone else, I will be having a little less time to do other things for my site. Making things worse, the person I’m working for takes his project VERY seriously, meaning I will have to as well. My philosophy over the years has been to make mistakes and make it seem like I did so on purpose. Actually, not true. Still though, I’m sure I will be submitting plenty of new material. Moving on in a COMPLETELY new direction, like many others, my hair has been growing totally out of control. I can’t sort it out for myself, leaving me with two choices: Let things get even worse (hippie style) or shave everything off (nazi style :S). Hippies are clearly better and certainly nicer than nazis, so that’s the look I guess I’ll have to choose. Hippies are still annoying though and would you believe some people already find ME irritating? Double whammy.

Because of the whole coronavirus business (I’m assuming), I had to book my own mental health related blood test, instead of simply turning up to the blood department with my testing kit. I got everything sorted out, boosting my self-esteem, but it wasn’t all plain sailing. I’ve had well over a hundred tests now, and the nurse the other day was one of the worst blood thieves I ever came across. Ouch. And why did I have to give my same details twice to her? For security reasons? Why would anyone fake their identity for a health checkup? Could I have been a fraud on some dark mission? I can’t for the life of my work out what that could be.

This has nothing to do with any virus but I’ll write about it, anyway. I kind of forgot to wash my car for a few years, so the paint went all funny a while ago. I got it repainted and it’s all sorted out now and looking better than ever. It’s not just blue like it was before, now it’s black and blue. Not covered in bruises, that would be surreal, I mean in the literal sense. Lastly, I’ve been spraying myself with Lynx Africa and smelling myself a lot. It’s arguably the company’s best product, but the others aren’t to be sniffed at. Wait, that didn’t make sense. Well you know what I mean. I’m sure that’s a pun that’s been done (or rather sort of done) before, but I don’t care. Bye!
